Alice Norma Lombardi is an Italian singer and performer based in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Over the past decade, she has dedicated herself to vocal research, exploring a wide-ranging repertoire that spans sacred medieval polyphony, Renaissance and Baroque music, traditional songs, and experimental and avant-garde compositions. As a soprano and vocalist, she has performed at early and contemporary music festivals both in Italy and internationally. In the realm of experimental music, she has collaborated with prominent figures in the field, including Anthony Pateras, Maria W Horn, and Stefano Pilia, among others. Additionally, she has worked with Antonella Talamonti on traditional Italian repertoire, as well as with Ljubomir Nikolic, Ensemble Italico Splendore, AltreVoci Ensemble, and InUnum Ensemble, with whom she deepens her study of sacred medieval music and the life, music, and mysticism of Hildegard von Bingen.

Born near the Venetian Prealps, she moved to Modena at 17, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in opera singing under the guidance of Marina Comparato and William Matteuzzi at the “Vecchi-Tonelli” Music Conservatory. There, she also studied composition with Antonio Giacometti. She later honed her vocal skills with Donatella Debolini in Florence and expanded her artistic training by attending acting seminars with Michael Margotta and Tanztheater workshops with Marigia Maggipinto (Tanztheater Wuppertal). Her approach blends vocal exploration with body and movement research, drawing from practices such as Qi Gong, Taijiquan, Kung Li Quan, and Authentic Movement. Deeply committed to music education, she regularly leads voice workshops for children at the Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica in Bologna and facilitates workshops for adults that explore the relationship between voice, body, mind, and spirituality.
